Tempe, Arizona – June 1, 2025: A 19-year-old girl named Renna O’Rourke has died after trying a dangerous trend on social media called “dusting.” This trend involves breathing in the spray from a can of air duster — a product usually used to clean keyboards — to feel a quick high. But it’s extremely risky and can cause death, even the first time someone tries it.Renna was a smart and kind young woman. She had finished an internship and was about to start college. Her dream was to become famous on social media. “She always said, ‘I’m going to be famous,’” said her father. “Sadly, not in the way she wanted.”She ordered the spray online and used it while recording a video. Soon after, she collapsed from a heart attack. Doctors tried to save her, but after being in a coma for several days, she was declared brain dead.Doctors say that "dusting" — also called chroming — is very dangerous. The chemicals in the spray take away oxygen from your brain and heart, and this can kill you very quickly.Renna’s parents are now speaking out to warn other families. “Don’t just trust your kids.
